What is the best Twitter (X) shadowban checker?

Shadowban Radar, for three reasons you can verify in the tables below: it runs all 4 checks, it shows a confidence level for each verdict (BanScope is the only other tool here that publishes one), and it is the only tool here that advertises automatic re-checks with email alerts. For a one-off test, 15 of the 28 other working checkers advertise the same 4 checks; none of them advertises a re-check that tells you whether the restriction is still on tomorrow.

Under the Hood or a checker?

If Under the Hood looks clean and a checker finds a restriction, both can be right: Under the Hood covers a month that has already ended, the check covers today. We re-read all 21 listings from the first pass on October 6, 2026. Each change below is also in the tables and notes.

• Added on October 6, 2026 (8): BanScope, XGrind, XJumper (x-jumper.com), Xpert, Shadowban Checker F, WakeMark, Fuxux, PostEverywhere.

Notes on each tool

• Postory

  Free, no account; every check returns the full report, with the link where each signal was read. It also sells a one-off $4.99 recovery scan and profile audit.

• Sorsa

  Free, no login, 5 checks a day per visitor. Its page says it automates 2 of the 4 checks (search suggestion ban, search ban) and presents the other 2 (ghost ban, reply deboosting) as a 2-minute manual check. Each check comes back as clean, banned or unknown with a reason. Also reads the sensitive-content and protected flags. X only: its page mentions no other platform.

• Mozedia

  Free checker, all four restriction types; measured on 14 September 2026, its search ban result mirrors its search suggestion ban result instead of testing it independently; we did not repeat that measurement on October 6.

• SocialCal

  Free, fast, covers the 4 standard restriction types.

• BanChecker

  Free, covers the 4 standard checks.

• xshadowban.com

  Free, no account, no email, no cap on checks; it calls itself a heuristic probe. Its page lists search ban, search suggestion ban, typeahead ban, ghost ban and a sensitive-media flag. Reply deboosting appears only as a guide title, hence the question mark. (Its .app twin domain no longer responds.)

• Bulkoid

  Reads your profile and recent tweet performance, shows a risk rating on screen and emails a more detailed breakdown.

• Circleboom

  Shadowban test inside a broader X management suite; the same site also covers Instagram and TikTok. Its page lists five restrictions under its own names (the fifth is Early Engagement Seed). It says the test is free for any public account, but its how-to steps say to connect your X account first. We did not run it to see which applies.

• Shadoban

  Free instant checker; advertises search restrictions and account limitations rather than the full four.

• SocialRails

  Not an automatic checker: it walks you through running the four tests yourself, with recommendations afterwards.

• HiSubway

  Its page advertises all 4 checks, in English and Japanese, but the per-handle verdict page renders in the browser only, so its results could not be read by our test. The page also promotes an Android app where you register a username and it checks automatically, with a Pro plan that removes ads. The Google Play link on that page returned HTTP 404 on October 6, 2026, so we could not verify the app or whether it sends alerts.

• Erasa

  Free, no login. Multi-platform: also tests Instagram and TikTok shadowbans. Its page names three restriction types (suggestion ban, search ban, reply deboosting) and says it reads search, suggestions and conversation threads; it no longer uses the words ghost ban, hence the question mark.

• TweetHunter

  Free checker inside a paid X growth suite.

• NotPeople

  Free, no login, no cap. Its page describes a search ban check (treating a search suggestion ban as its lighter form) and a reply deboost check that it also calls a ghost ban, plus reach and engagement. The same site sells a paid service to lift a shadowban.

• OpenTweet

  Free, no login, instant results; advertises search, reply and follower status checks, with wording too loose to map onto every standard check, hence the question marks.

• Yuzurisa

  Fork of an older open-source checker, rebuilt by a new maintainer, with donation prompts. Its page is empty until it renders in a browser; once rendered it lists the 4 checks and says a check that could not be run is neither a positive nor a negative result.

• Postel

  Reachable in a browser, but behind a bot-protection wall (HTTP 429 to our automated test), so we could not read what it advertises.

• ShadowBird

  The tool that used to live at shadowbird.com (now a parked domain, see below): the same checker is live at taishin-miyamoto.com, and its page names our exact 4 checks: search suggestion ban, search ban, ghost ban, reply deboosting.

• BanScope

  Free, no login, in 10 languages, for X and Threads. Its page lists five public signals (profile, search suggestion, search visibility, post visibility, reply visibility) and a visibility score; reply visibility does not map onto ghost ban or reply deboosting word for word, hence the question marks. Its methodology page publishes a High, Medium or Low confidence level for each check and a dated validation log. No monitoring advertised.

• XGrind

  Free, no login, built for Indonesian creators and available in English and Indonesian. Its page lists a 7-layer audit that includes our 4 checks, plus reply spam signals, post visibility and a risk summary. Its comparison table mentions a weekly health report tab; no alerts are mentioned, hence the question mark on monitoring.

• XJumper (x-jumper.com)

  A free tool inside a paid X reply-agent product, no login. It says it checks search ban, search suggestion ban, ghost ban and reply deboosting and returns Clear, Unknown or Flagged for each, described on the page as indicative. The old domains xjumper.com and xjumper.app are dead (see below); we could not tell from its pages whether this is the same project.

• Xpert

  Free, no login, 5 fresh lookups a day (cached handles are free), inside an X growth toolkit. Its page lists five live checks: account status, search ban, search suggestion ban, reply deboosting and a sensitive-media label, each linking to the posts it read. It treats ghost ban as another name for reply deboosting, hence the question mark.

• Shadowban Checker F

  Free, ad-supported, no login field, Japanese and English, with an Android app. Its page lists our 4 checks, plus a Postban check that tests whether each of an account's latest 20 posts is excluded from search. It says its results are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate and that it may stop working if X changes.

• WakeMark

  Free, no WakeMark login, but it runs only inside the WakeMark Chrome extension (Health tab), not as a web form. Its page covers the from:@handle empty-search signal, search suggestions and unspecified profile settings, hence the question mark on extra flags.

• Fuxux

  Not an automatic checker: a self-guided test inside a social media scheduler, where you run search, reply and account-notice tests yourself and log each result. It argues that automated checkers often guess.

• PostEverywhere

  Not a visibility test: you pick a platform (X, Instagram, TikTok and others) and enter your own reach and engagement stats, and it estimates a shadowban risk. Its page says no third-party tool can confirm a shadowban for certain.

• Shadowban Scanner

  A free, open-source browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave and Vivaldi, not a web form: it shows results on X's own pages, with no separate login. The Chrome Web Store lists 50,000 users on October 12, 2026. Its account verdict comes from the account's sensitive-content flag, which its own page says can give false positives and false negatives. It also reads post-level flags, age restrictions and country blocks. It does not list our 4 checks.

• checkshadowban.com

  Free, no login, with affiliate advertising on the page and an interface in Japanese only. It lists search ban, suggestion ban, ghost ban and reply deboosting, shows OK, caution or ban for each, and also reports how each of the latest posts displays. A check it could not carry out is labelled as an estimate, which is why the confidence column has a question mark.

The dead ones still being recommended

These three listings still point to dead addresses. If a list links to any of them, it was not fact-checked recently:

• shadowban.euDead

  The domain no longer resolves to a server: dig shadowban.eu returns no address, checked on October 12, 2026.

• TwitHelpDead

  Redirects to HugeDomains, a domain reseller.

• XJumperDead

  xjumper.com now redirects to a domain-sale page and xjumper.app does not exist in DNS (checked October 6, 2026). A free checker also called XJumper is live at x-jumper.com, with a hyphen, and is listed above.

Feature by feature, as advertised by each tool

How to read the symbols:

• A check mark means the tool's own page advertises that check. It does not mean we bench-tested its accuracy.
• A dash means the page does not mention it, including under synonyms: we searched each page for alternate wordings before marking one.
• A question mark means we could not determine it, because the page is unreadable to automated verification or its wording is too loose to map onto a specific check.

Every tool above whose page we could read advertises a free check, and none of those pages asks for an X login for it. Bulkoid asks for an email address to send its report, and Circleboom's how-to steps mention connecting your X account, which we did not test.

15 of the 28 other working checkers advertise the same 4 checks as Shadowban Radar. Only Shadowban Radar keeps checking after you close the tab and emails you when a restriction starts or lifts. That is a paid pass, one payment with no subscription: €2.99 for 14 days or €4.99 for 30 days. BanScope is the only other tool that publishes a confidence level for each check.

Beyond the four checks

Same rule as above: this is what each page advertises.

Several tools read signals we do not. Examples are sensitive-content and protected-account flags (Sorsa, xshadowban.com, Xpert, Shadowban Scanner) and post-level visibility (XGrind, BanScope, Shadowban Checker F, checkshadowban.com). 4 of the 28 other checkers also cover Instagram and TikTok while we only do X. Shadowban Radar and BanScope advertise a confidence level for each verdict. Only Shadowban Radar advertises a re-check that runs on its own, with an email when a restriction starts or lifts.

Can a shadowban checker be 100% certain?

No tool sees X's internal flags in real time, and Under the Hood only shows them for last month. A good checker does not guess. Shadowban Radar measures instead of estimating: every verdict comes from X's own public data, read on X through a specialized data provider, from the same search results and conversation threads X serves to anyone. Nothing is inferred from view counts or engagement, no login or password is ever needed, each verdict states its confidence level, and every result shows when X's data was read. A check that cannot be measured is marked Untestable and left out of the score, never guessed.

Our approach is to publish the confidence of each verdict and to leave an unmeasurable check out of the score instead of faking it.
