X does not publish a universal duration. A waiting period shown in an account notice belongs to that decision, not every visibility restriction. Compare dated checks to see whether your account's visibility has changed.

Checkers do not run the same tests, and most return a yes or no without saying how sure they are. Some read X's front end and break quietly when X changes it, others read the API, which does not always match what a logged out visitor sees. When two tools disagree, the tie breaker is manual: search your exact post text from a logged out browser.
