Why are my tweets getting zero views?

Zero views is usually not a ghost ban. Reach depends on a lot at once: a quiet posting window, an off day for the algorithm, or a topic that just is not landing. What is specific to a ghost ban is not the view count, it is that your replies stop showing up in threads for people other than you. Guessing from view counts alone settles nothing. Am I ghost banned on X?

The clearest sign: a recent reply of yours is missing when you open the conversation from a second account, in both the default and Latest sort, while replies posted around the same time are visible. Your own reply counter and notifications still look normal from inside your account, because the masking only applies to how other people see the thread. Confirming it means running the outside check above, not reading your own session.

How do I check a ghost ban manually, without any tool?

The trap in this check: X composes each thread at the moment it is read. So you must read the thread as an outsider, in both sort orders, from a second account that does not follow you (X walls off most logged-out views, a private window rarely gets far).

  1. Reply to a post from an account with an active conversation (or find a recent reply of yours).
  2. Copy the link of the post you replied to.
  3. Open it from a second account that does not follow you.
  4. Look for your reply in the default sort, then switch to Latest and look again.
  5. If your reply appears in neither sort while replies posted around the same time are visible, that is a ghost ban.

How long does a ghost ban last?

X gives no timeline. Reports typically describe days to a few weeks. The masking applies when a thread is read, not when you posted: during a ban, even your old replies vanish from their conversations, and when the ban lifts they all reappear. Checking an old reply today measures the state of your account today.

The lift is as silent as the start, so people keep holding back long after theirs is over. You can get an email when it lifts instead of re-reading a thread every morning.

How do I fix a ghost ban?

Ghost bans usually follow reply behavior that trips X's filters: many replies in a short window, repeated identical replies, links in a high share of replies, or reports from other users. See the specific recovery steps for this one.

  1. Slow down reply frequency and vary the content: identical or near-identical replies are the most reported trigger.
  2. Cut automation that replies or engages on your behalf.
  3. Avoid putting links in most of your replies.
  4. Re-run the logged-out thread check every day or two until your replies show up again.
