Reply deboosting on Twitter (X)
Reply deboosting means your replies are pushed to the bottom of a conversation or hidden behind Show more replies.

Why are my Twitter replies not showing?
The reply is still on your own profile, but someone else opening the same conversation can fail to see it at all. Two different restrictions cause that:
- Reply deboosting: the reply is buried at the bottom of the default sort or behind Show more replies.
- Ghost ban: the reply is removed from the thread entirely, in every sort order.

Why are my replies hidden under "Show more replies"?
That is reply deboosting by definition: X ranks the reply below the default cutoff, so it only surfaces once someone taps Show more replies.
Readers who switch to the Latest sort, or scroll well past the top replies, can still find it. Everyone who stops at the default view, which is most people, never does.
The check above measures that ranking from outside your account, the only place it is visible.
Reply deboosting is detected when X serves a reply in the conversation read in chronological order but leaves it out of the default view of that same conversation.
How do I check reply deboosting manually, without any tool?
Deboosting only shows in the default (most relevant) sort, which is what most readers see. That is where to look. Use a second account that does not follow you. A private window does not help much: many logged-out pages only show a login prompt.
- Find a recent reply of yours in a conversation with a healthy number of replies.
- Open the conversation from that second account, in the default sort.
- Scroll the visible replies and note where yours sits.
- If yours consistently sits at the very bottom, or only appears after tapping Show more replies, while replies with less engagement rank above it, your replies are being deboosted.
- Cross-check on 2 or 3 different conversations before concluding: a single low ranking can come from the algorithm alone.
How long does reply deboosting last?
A public check cannot assign an expiry date to reply deboosting or identify an internal label. Reply placement can vary by viewer and conversation.
Compare several conversations over time. Distinguish low placement from a reply that is entirely absent.
A gradual fade is the hardest thing to read from a single check. Ongoing monitoring that reruns the full audit every day keeps every verdict dated next to the previous one, so you read a trend instead of one snapshot.
How do I fix reply deboosting?
Reply order is personalized and may reflect several signals. A low position does not reveal blocks, mutes, reports or an internal spam label.

- Replace repeated promotional replies with specific responses to the conversation.
- Check whether each reply adds relevant information instead of sending the same pitch to unrelated accounts.
- Remove unwanted engagement automation. Keep control of the tools you intentionally use.
- Re-check several conversations under the same viewing conditions. Record improved placement separately from changes in search or suggestions.
