A Twitter (X) shadowban audit is a one-time read of the last 30 days of a public account that estimates the labels X puts on the account and its posts, names the probable cause of its reduced reach, and gives an ordered plan to follow.

What does the audit read on your account?
The audit runs the 4 visibility checks, then reads everything your account published in the last 30 days:
- Every post and reply, day by day, with its time and its views.
- Every photo and video, reviewed for the content that X's published code labels, such as adult media or spam.
- Your profile: the age of the account, its followers and its bio.
- The results of the checks already run on your account before the purchase.
The audit also looks for the day your reach dropped, by comparing the views of your posts before and after it.
Every number in the report comes from one of those reads.
What does the audit conclude?
The audit estimates your X labels, then names the probable cause. The report gives:
- the post labels found in your posts, such as adult content or spam, with examples;
- whether an account label is likely, with an estimated calendar of when it started and when it should end;
- the probable cause, kept only if it passes three tests: it came before the restriction, its dose is above what healthy accounts do, and it acts where your checks failed;
- what is not the cause, with the numbers that rule it out.

The labels are an estimate: X does not publish them. Where we could compare with the labels X reports to account owners, our estimate matched about 6 fields in 10.

How long does a restriction last after an audit?
Across the restrictions we follow, 30% were lifted within 7 days and 45% within 14 days (figures as of 2026-11-05, updated daily on our statistics page). X's published code writes 14 day and 30 day timers on some labels, and none at all on others.
If an adult account label is likely, the report gives the day it should end, marked as an estimate. X publishes no duration for search or reply limits, so the report gives none. The durations page explains where each one comes from.
What does the audit not do?
The audit has no inside view of X's decisions. It follows these rules:
- It does not promise a recovery date: X publishes none. The only date it gives is an estimate, for an adult account label.
- It does not ask X anything.
- It never tells you to delete posts as a reset.
- It never suggests a second account.
Every step starts from something we read on your account: the number, the posts concerned and the rule X publishes. The report never asks you to test your own visibility on X.

Do I have to connect my X account?
