Shadowban Radar

Twitter (X) Shadowban Test

Last reviewed

Shadowban Radar runs a free Twitter (X) shadowban test on any public account, with no login or password: 4 checks (search suggestion ban, search ban, ghost ban, reply deboosting), a verdict, and a confidence level for each check.

@

38% of X accounts checked on Shadowban Radar in the past 7 days were shadowbanned.

What we measure

The 4 checks we run

Search suggestion ban

A search suggestion ban means your X account stops appearing in the dropdown suggestions when someone types your name or handle.

Search ban

A search ban means your posts are removed from X search results: searching for them finds nothing, even for followers.

Ghost ban

A ghost ban detaches your replies from the conversation they belong to: everyone else sees the thread without them.

Reply deboosting

Reply deboosting means your replies are pushed to the bottom of a conversation or hidden behind Show more replies.

A check we cannot measure is left out of the score instead of faking one.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before you trust the score

X's Under the Hood shows the labels X applied to your own account and posts in a past month, if your account qualifies. Shadowban Radar complements it: it tests what other people see today on any public X account, for free and with no login.

  • Under the Hood: X's official report, only for the logged-in owner of an account at least 1 year old with at least 10 posts that month. It comes out about 10 days after that month ends.
  • Shadowban Radar: any public account, of any age, with no login. It runs the 4 checks (search suggestion ban, search ban, ghost ban, reply deboosting) on what X serves today, with a confidence level for each check.

If Under the Hood looks clean and a checker finds a restriction, both can be right: Under the Hood covers a month that has already ended, the check covers today. For today's answer on any account, run Shadowban Radar's free check; for the labels X applied in a past month, open Under the Hood if your account qualifies.

Read what Under the Hood shows and what it misses.

Partly. Grok can search X's public posts for your handle, which tests for a search ban, but in its public replies it says it cannot access private account data or labels. Shadowban Radar runs all 4 checks on any public handle, free and with no login, including the 3 that a search of public posts does not cover: search suggestion ban, ghost ban and reply deboosting.

Run the free check on your @handle instead of asking your followers whether they can find you in search. Shadowban Radar runs 4 checks (search suggestion ban, search ban, ghost ban, reply deboosting) and answers in seconds with "No shadowban detected" or "Shadowban detected", plus a confidence level for each check.

Shadowban Radar measures instead of estimating: every verdict comes from X's own public data, read on X through a specialized data provider, from the same search results and conversation threads X serves to anyone. Nothing is inferred from view counts or engagement, no login or password is ever needed, each verdict states its confidence level, and every result shows when X's data was read.

The two search checks observe whether the account or its posts appear in X's search. The reply checks read real conversations and only conclude once one has been read to the end. The score is the share of measured checks that passed, not a probability or an internal X score.

Yes. We do not ask X: we measure what X shows to everyone else. X has publicly confirmed it limits reach without telling the account, under its "freedom of speech, not reach" policy.

Each check compares what a public account should show in search and in conversations with what actually shows. Every result states when X's data was read.

A check needs something to measure. If the account's recent replies sit in conversations too large to read in full, or whose author restricts who can reply, the evidence is missing. The check then returns Untestable and is dropped from the score, instead of being turned into a verdict we cannot back.

  • "No replies to check" means the account has not replied to anyone recently, so the ghost ban and reply deboosting checks have no reply to look for. Both checks then count as completed, never as failed, and stay out of the score.
  • On a private account or an account with no posts, the ghost ban and reply deboosting checks cannot run: the result shows "Private account" or "No posts yet" on those two checks instead of a verdict.

Start with any notice X shows when you sign in, and follow the requested step. Review recent posts for repeated wording or bulk activity you recognize, then make your next posts specific to the conversation. Compare the same checks at the next measurement. Only X can lift a restriction it applies.

Yes. Shadowban Recovery checks your public account throughout the day and sends alerts for confirmed visibility changes.

  • The full four-check audit reruns at least once a day.
  • Available signals depend on what the account lets us measure.
  • You are told within hours when a restriction on your search or reply visibility lands or lifts, and after the daily audit for the rest.
  • It reads your public profile only.

One payment: €3.99 once, 14 days of monitoring. No subscription, and monitoring stops by itself when the pass ends. You switch it on from your result page after a free check.

Run Shadowban Radar's free check: it works on any public account, whatever its age. X's Under the Hood only covers accounts at least 1 year old with at least 10 posts that month, so it shows nothing for a newer account.

It can be a search suggestion ban. A search suggestion ban means your X account stops appearing in the dropdown suggestions when someone types your name or handle.

The first of the 4 checks tells you whether X still suggests your account when someone searches for it.

Run the free check to tell the two apart. If none of the 4 checks fails, the result reads "No shadowban detected": none of the restrictions the checks test for was found in search or in conversations.

Low reach on that account most likely comes from something the 4 checks do not measure.

No. There is no login, no password and no permission to grant: Shadowban Radar has no access to your X account and never posts on your behalf. It only reads public data, and running a check notifies nobody.

X does not publish a universal duration. A waiting period shown in an account notice belongs to that decision, not every visibility restriction. Compare dated checks to see whether your account's visibility has changed.

Checkers do not run the same tests, and most give a yes or no without saying how sure they are. Some estimate a risk from views or engagement instead of reading X's data. Others stop working when X changes its pages.

Shadowban Radar reads X's own search results and conversations through a specialized data provider, and states its confidence for each verdict. When two tools disagree, search your exact post text from a logged out browser.
